A rare and wonderfully preserved Rolex GMT-Master 1675 from 1968 with the coveted Mk1 “Long E” dial, red-back Pepsi inlay, and original Oyster rivet bracelet with 58 end links. The watch impresses with its beautiful patina, harmonious overall appearance, and authentic vintage character.
Case
The stainless steel case is in very good condition with sharp edges. The serial number (201XXXX) and reference engravings are complete and clearly legible, with no corrosion. The lugs have remained nice and strong, and the case shows signs of wear commensurate with its age, but no major flaws.
The bezel has an original Pepsi inlay with a red back (“red back”).
Dial & hands
The Mk1 “Long E” dial is a highlight in itself: dark, even tritium patina on a flawless dial, without scratches or damage. The long center bar in the “E” of “ROLEX” and the typical serif lettering clearly identify the dial as the first generation of the 1675, a sought-after detail among collectors.
The hands are original and match the patina of the dial perfectly. No breaks or cracks.
Movement & Technology
Inside the watch is the Rolex caliber 1575 with GMT complication.
Bracelet & Accessories
The watch is worn on an original Oyster 7206 rivet bracelet with 58 end links and folding clasp (Q2/67). The bracelet shows age-appropriate stretch, which is completely normal and a sign of authentic use, but remains stable and wears excellently.
